I use Git on Windows 10 and a very fast internet connection (my machine has a 2,50 GHz processor and 64 GB of RAM.
I am at the latest version of Git for Windows, which is
2.43.0
.My issue is not regarding the
git.exe
app itself, per se, but rather, its interaction with GitHub.When i do a
in a local repository, it takes an excruciatingly long time (~1 min) to ping / converse with GitHub before it finally resolves and pushes the deltas and such. I am not sure if this is because of some great new security measures that have been implemented, but this started occurring around Sept-Oct of 2023.
git pull -v origin master --no-rebase
is also very slow all of a sudden.I wish GitHub would revamp its security protocols to make
push
andpull
faster. It's really getting in my way, how slow it is.Beta Was this translation helpful? Give feedback.
