I am reaching out to inquire about the possibility of integrating the "mac80211_hwsim" and "btvirt" kernel modules for testing in CI process. I believe that this addition would significantly enhance the convenience and efficiency of testing for all contributors.
At present, the only way to make it work is by using a qemu virtual machine, which introduces unnecessary overhead for such task. By incorporating these modules directly into CI testing, we can simplify the process and make testing more accessible for everyone.
I would greatly appreciate any feedback or insight on the feasibility of adding these features to testing environment.
