I created a private repo and linked a folder to that repo. I have the folder open in VS Code, and have a AHK code file in the folder that also contains the '.git' subfolder. This code file is the main branch. I created a 'tweaks' branch, made changes to the code and committed those changes. Now I need to test that 'tweaks' file's AHK code before I merge it back into the main branch. I don't see the 'tweaks' version of the code file in the repo folder on my local drive. What is common practice to access files in branches to test them prior to merging with main branch? To be clear, I want to access a local copy of this AutoHotKey script so that I can run it in AutoHotKey to test the changes.
Obviously I can go to github and download the tweaks branch's file, but I'm guessing there's a more seamless solution?
