Hey there 👋🏼 - have you checked this doc for reason why the token may be expiring? |

Thanks, I hadn't. But it doesn't explain the issue. It says tokens expire after being unused for a year but my experience is that they expire after a week or so, with little or no use. |

I am using a github repo to store firmware images. I make a https request to download a file using a https://raw.githubusercontent.com url. I create a developer personal access token (classic) for this, and set no expiry, ignoring the security warning. This works for some time but then eventually I get "404 not found" and need to generate a new token. So the token is expiring. Is there a way to create a permanent access token?
My use case is IoT over-the-air firmware update. My device periodically checks with a server for updates. The server provides the github url and the access token.
