Hi, we recently started using merge queues in our repo, and we had mis-configured the settings, the result was a lot of builds but 0 merges.
we feel this could be easily solved in the UI with a warning (or even blocking such settings)
the issue we had:
in the merge queue settings we set the build concurrency for 20 and in merge limits the maximum number was set to 5.
the result is when more than 5 PRs were in the merge queue and the build was green, nothing was merged, this caused developer whose PR was dropped from the queue to re-add it to the queue and the queue got "full" quickly, preventing any chance for a merge.
the solution in our opinion is to either show a warning or cause the "maximum concurrency" field to be invalid (error state) when the number is higher than the "maximum pull requests to merge"
attached is the mis-configuration we had.
