Hello Community,
I need assistance collecting the branch creator's email ID using Git commands. I'm currently trying to use the following command to collect this information:
git for-each-ref --format='%(committerdate) %09 %(authoremail) %09 %(authorename) %09 %(refname)' --sort=committerdate | head -n 1
However, this command doesn't provide the correct email IDs of the branch creators. Instead, it captures the author's information for the latest commit on each branch. Additionally, I have observed that for some branches, the branch creator's email ID is directly taken from the branched branch.
Could anyone provide the correct way/resources to help me gather the branch creator's email IDs accurately?
