In my company there's a widespread standard of using absolute imports (aka:
import {MyService} from 'src/services/my-service'
).Unfortunately, the code navigation does not recognize such import paths (even tho they match paths from the root of the repo).
It'd be great if code navigation heuristics will take into consideration things like tsconfig paths, or alternatively allow to configure what are possible roots for absolute imports to resolve absolute paths.
I'm very used to quickly navigating and scanning projects from within GitHub, since usually the references work well and OOTB. I believe having improved inference in such cases will improve the ability of our developers (and developers in other repos where such a practice is done) to quickly search through code.
