you can use an external service, and add as many as you want https://github.com/anuraghazra/github-readme-stats#github-extra-pins |

I have a lot of very highly relevant repositories and would like to be able to pin more than 6 repos to my home page.
6 seems like an arbitrarily small number.
Why not increase the limit to at least 8 or 10 or 12?
It's not like it would even change the structure of a user's profile page, it would just be one or two more rows of repos listed as my core ones that I want somebody landing on my profile page to see.
