Dear Github members,
My name is Josh Kennedy and I am writing to express my interest in obtaining the source code for the Berkeley Speech Technologies BestSpeech Multilingual Text-to-Speech (TTS) engine and the L&H TruVoice Multilingual TTS. As a collector of rare and unsupported TTS engines and their source code, I believe that these two TTS engines would be valuable additions to my collection.
I understand that the BestSpeech TTS was developed by Michael O'Malley and the TruVoice TTS by Centigram Communications, and I am eager to speak with any former employees of Berkeley Speech Technologies, L&H, and Centigram Communications who may have access to the source code for these TTS engines.
I am aware that these TTS engines may no longer be in active development and may be considered discontinued. I would like to make it clear that I am a volunteer collector and as such, I am unable to offer any form of compensation or make any offers for the source code. I am pursuing this endeavor simply because of my passion for preserving the historical and technological significance of such engines.
I would greatly appreciate it if you could reach out to any former employees who may have access to the source code and forward my contact information to them. I look forward to hearing from you and discussing this opportunity further.
Thank you for your time and understanding.
Sincerely,
Josh Kennedy
