Question
Body
At least some point in the future, would it be a fun and useful idea to make a program that can combine DLL files that are associated with any GoldSrc engine, especially Spirit of Half-Life?
It can also be used to crossover content and combine mods like a Frankensteinien experiment. This can include NPCs, weapons, features, etc. I am pretty much sure there are Half-Life fans and modders who would love to have such a tool. The bot mixer tool I had been shown, only works with bot plugins unfortunately. I would really love a tool like that to come into fruition. On the subject of it being useful, it can work well for modders who plan to more efficiently add more features to their mod, like from Spirit of Half-Life with XASH FWGS for example.
Here's the basic code to start off with.
#include <windows.h>
#include
typedef void (*FunctionPointer)(); // Define a function pointer type
void callFunction(FunctionPointer func)
{
func(); // Call the function using the function pointer
}
int main()
{
// Load the first DLL
HMODULE dll1 = LoadLibrary("path/to/dll1.dll");
if (!dll1)
{
std::cout << "Failed to load DLL1." << std::endl;
return 1;
}
}
Yours sincerely, Andrew Matchett.
