Dependabot PR prefixes

I'm noticing differences in the PRs that Dependabot is creating in my repos and I"m trying to understand if it's a configuration in my repo or if it's related to the particular depencies.

chore(deps): bump webpack...

vs.

build(deps): bump json from....

Do chore and build mean different things here? note, I'm not configuring a prefix of any kind though the repo that seems to use chore has a dependabot.yml whereas the other does not.

Any ideas?

I think there is some sort of lack of consistency here because the in some of my recent PRs created by dependabot i have:

• build(deps-devs)
• Bump <- note there is no type of chore/ build etc

Most likely the codebase hasn't been gone through a tidy up exercise to maintain the consistency across the board

Thanmks @DanyC97 I agree on the lack of consistency and got a similar message from a support ticket I filed with Github support. Let me see if I can find what they said on this.

Hmm, nevermind. This was the latest:

I got both approvals and while I see where chore and build were used as prefixes in prior PRs, I see where other prefixes were also common, so I have asked our engineers if they can provide the specific criteria or a better explanation for why these were picked over others.

but nothing further. I reached back out to see if I could more clarification.
