How to get the core dump of a binary in github codespaces, in linux environment?
As I know, it can be found on the path mentioned at /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern. But in github codespace VM, this file contains:
|/usr/share/apport/apport -p%p -s%s -c%c -d%d -P%P -u%u -g%g -- %E
So, I installed apport also, but still no core dump was generated on crash.
I checked ulimit -c also, to check the max allowed size of core file. It was unlimited, so no problem there.
I tried to change /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern file with sudo access, so that file is generated in the current working directory only. But I do not have the permission.
